Manny Ramirez Suspension
Today we get news of Manny Ramirez suspension because of turning up positive after a drug test. Ramirez has been suspended for using steroids.
What will be the exact punishment? He will be suspended for 50 games and this also means that he won’t receive any pay for those missing games. This is of course bad news for the LA Dodgers who are losing one of their best players. Converting to actual numbers for Manny…well… this means that he will be losing over $7 million.
Manny Ramirez suspension has also caused that he releases a statement saying the following:
“Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue, he gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was okay to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I’ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.”
Ummm … Anyway… aren’t ‘roids using nowadays by the majority of professional athletes?
