Inexpensive Ways To Make Your Home Feel Expensive

lavoieplate3With the housing market in the dumps we’re all realizing that we’re going to live in our homes longer than we’d probably like.  For that reason it makes sense to figure out some ways to get your house to be a more enjoyable place for you and your family.  The good news is that it doesn’t take a lot of money to spruce up the home front.  In this post I’ll show you some easy things that you can do to get more mileage out of the home that you already have.

The easiest way to do this is by upgrading the decorations.  Art has long been one of the most desirable things to add to the home, and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune to do so.  Fused glass art has always been inexpensive, especially when you buy from up and coming artists.  Simple things like a fused glass plate on an entryway table can change the entire feel of your home’s entrance.  You can go as far as adding wall art or creating your own.

Another simple way to update your home without breaking the bank is to do some serious organization and rearranging.  Take a look at some fancy home magazines and see what the layout of their living and dining rooms are and see if you can replicate the look.  You’ll probably end up getting rid of a bunch of stuff (which can earn you some money) and rearrange your rooms for nothing more than sweat equity.  If you make some cash some getting rid of the extra stuff, you can turn that cash back into new decorations.

Improving your home doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.  Find some simple things that you can use to decorate with and take everything that you already have to see if you can improve upon it.
