Go, Diego, Go DVD Series
“Go, Diego! Go! Go! Go…!” If you are the parent, or grandparent, of a preschooler, you more than likely have heard this song again, and again, and yet again. As your preschooler sings along with, or even dances to this catchy tune they are also getting to enjoy one of the more wholesome cartoon options that are around. Diego, his pet Jaguar, along with a couple other characters – his famous cousin Dora the Explorer and his smart sister Alicia, star in a wide variety of “Go, Diego! Go!” DVDs helping rescue animals in need of their help, and at the same time, teaching children all about the exciting world of animals.
The latest releases in the Go Diego Go collection are every bit as exciting at the ones your child has already been enjoying: Rainforest Fiesta, as the name implies, features exciting rainforest adventures and include a bonus video game along with the standard four shows, while Arctic Rescue features one longer than normal show, along with two other ones, and is set in the Arctic.
There are some questions at times as to how educational the Go, Diego, Go! DVD and television series are. Some people have voiced concern that children will learn neither correct English or correct Spanish, but will talk as Diego does with a smattering of both yet never really excelling in any. While this concern does merit some thought, it is fairly obvious from being around children who do spend a fair amount of time with Diego and friends, that it really is not a problem. To the contrary, most parents and early educationalists are quite happy with the fun loving videos and television series and feel that the children are getting a fairly broad and well rounded education by watching them.
If you are a grandparent or you have young nieces and nephews and you just don’t know what to get them for a birthday, or a special gift, you can be sure that they will like to watch Diego via DVD providing they are still young enough to fully enjoy it.
