Thigh-High Stockings – Something New and Different for a Gift for Your Sweetie
Guy’s… you’re about to get a great opportunity to score some serious brownie points with your sweet heart, but you’re going to have to make sure you’re prepared for Valentine’s Day, which is just around the corner. The thing is, more often than not, guys don’t put a whole lot of time, effort of thought into what they’re going to do for V Day, and unfortunately, that can turn the opportunity for some good into a situation that is… not quite so wonderful. Another way of explaining it, as I’ve heard before, is that VDay becomes DDay. Make sure that you’re not a victim of this easily avoidable tragedy. With a little thought it isn’t really that difficult to find some kind of idea that will be just enough outside of the ordinary that you won’t get lumped with the chumps who come home with nothing but a box of chocolate and a bunch of roses. Of course, roses or other flowers look pretty and chocolates taste good, but how far did you really stretch your imagination to come up with that gift idea guys? More than likely you stretched more this morning pulling on your socks!
One gift idea you probably haven’t considered is… socks. Of course I’m not talking about going out and buying some tube socks or hiking socks… I’m talking about something that is more fun and yet still sexy enough that it can work as a Valentine’s Day gift; thigh high socks!
This idea has proven itself for me more than just once (I admit, I’ve had more than one girlfriend over the years and there are always birthdays, Christmas and Valentine’s Day to come up with ideas, so forgive me me if I found something that works and recycled it).. Another ‘proof’ that this idea is a winner is that once, when my softball team was having beers after a game, I mentioned this to a bunch of the guys. I found out later that several of them took the idea and ran with it in one way, shape or form, and they all reported great success! I did hear a few details about just how ‘successful’ the gift was from some of the more talkative guys, but I won’t bother you with those details here. We’ll simply leave it at the fact that the gift was well received.
So there you have it. A Valentine’s Day gift idea for your lady that I’m willing to bet you haven’t used before, or any other time you need to come up with something that shows just how thoughtful and creative a gift-giver you really are.
