A Stylish Pair Of Mens Elastic Waist Shorts
That title has probably caught you off guard. “Stylish” and “elastic waist shorts” do not often appear in the same sentence. Especially in the department of men’s clothing lines. In fact, this may be the first time in all of fashion history. But I have to admit, that I did see them, that they do exist, that they can, in fact, be purchased. Believe it or not.
The golden pair of mens elastic waist shorts were unquestionably good looking. They were long, falling just above the male knee. They were lightweight cotton, which makes the possibility of being among high fashion choices even more surprising, as elastic and lightweight cotton rarely look good together…yet, there they were. They were not even cargo shorts; they sported only the typical two front pockets and one buttoned back pocket. What made the fashion statement possible was the fabric’s pattern. The shorts were available in white or camel with a light blue crosshatch pattern. Not checkered, not plaid. A simple, subtle crosshatch. Surprise, surprise, the impossible has been accomplished.
So, I guess that give hope for all fashion faux pas. There might be a way to make them work. Once there has been one pair of successful shorts designed, there can be more. Who knows? Perhaps it will take the Big and Tall fashion designers for a spin. Wardrobes might explode with a new trend. It will require a heightened sensitivity to the “go’s” and “no go’s” in fashion… but there is hope. Don’t let it die.
Men’s fashion is often a difficult thing to work out. On the one hand, men want to look good, just like women do. On the other hand, men are simply not willing to put up with being uncomfortable for the sake of fashion. A stylish pair of shorts with a comfy elastic waist band is the solution.
