The Case for Bean to Cup Coffee Machines
So you’re looking for a new small coffee pot, but aren’t exactly sure what you want. You know you want something that’s easy to use and that’s able to produce great tasting coffee, but you aren’t sure how to narrow down the options in the face of so many different machines. If you’ve looked at all at coffee makers recently then you know that there are a lot of things to think about including ease of use, performance and price. It’s also obvious that manufacturers have turned their focus on producing machines that do more for the consumer, meaning it’s no longer necessary for the user to go through all the traditional steps involved in the brewing process. One of the most popular machines that provides the user with a more automated process are bean to cup coffee machines.
In case you’re not aware of how these machines operate, they contain an integrated grinder that grinds the coffee beans just prior to brewing. So, what’s the big deal about this, you ask? This essentially removes the need for grinding, since the machine will do it for you, and also takes advantage of the benefits that come from freshly ground beans. To use one of these machines, you simply fill the hopper with whole coffee beans and activate the cycle, which in turn causes the grinder to grind the beans and start the brewing cycle. Many of these machines contain a dosing function, which means that you can fill the hopper and let the machine determine the volume of beans to use for each pot of coffee. This can be particularly useful if you need to brew multiple cups or pots of coffee in a 24 hour period.
Of course, not all machines are perfect in every way, and there are some cons to owning a bean to cup coffee machine. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage that these machines have is that they are fairly expensive, particularly when compared to other automatic drip coffee makers. With that said, you are getting a machine that can grind and brew all in one step, which may make all the difference in the world.
