Three Things You Should Know Before You Buy Outdoor Lighting Chandeliers

Installing a chandelier on in a gazebo or covered porch brings a touch of class and style to the area, but before you get too excited and go out to buy one, there are a few things that you should know about you home and outdoor lighting chandeliers.

The first thing that you need to look at before you buy your chandelier is how much weight the roof of your gazebo can hold.  If your gazebo is a larger structure that permanently in place, it will most likely be able to hold up a chandelier, but it never hurts to double check.  Where you might run into problems is if you have a portable gazebo and buy a heavier chandelier for it.  If you have a portable gazebo, always check the specifications to see how much weight it can support.

The next thing you need to look at is whether or not you have an electrical outlet near your gazebo.  Without electricity, obviously an electrical chandelier won’t run.  If you don’t have a plug nearby you have two options.  You can ether hire an electrician to come in to dig up your lawn and bury the cable for an expensive sum or you can install solar or candle chandelier.  These are usually dimmer and a little less reliable than electrical chandeliers, but they are generally good for occasional use.

Finally, you need to know the weather that is in your area.  If your local area is prone to winds or other violent storms, it is possible that your chandelier is going to take a beating outside.  You might want to explore some other lighting options or else make sure that you buy a quality brand, like Home Wellington outdoor chandelier, that can stand up to the elements.

Now that you know these three important tips, you can go out and start shopping for your outdoor chandeliers.
