Create Exciting Adventures with the AT-ST Pilot
An AT-ST Pilot is a character in the Star Wars universe who are specially trained by the Galactic Empire to man the AT-ST Walkers. AT-ST Pilots were required to have a extensive sense of balance due to the way the AT-ST Walkers worked. The Galactic Empire trained the AT-ST Pilots so that they could maneuver the terrain properly in their machines. They were required to wear limited shoulder and arm armor, as well as carry the standard equipment which included concussion grenades, blaster pistol, blaster rifle, flares, comlink and two thermal detonators.
The Star Wars LEGO minifigures of the AT-ST Pilot comes dressed in a light gray uniform, featuring a black belt piece and black gloves. The pilot minifigures’ head comes equipped with goggles, and a mouth and chinstrap (which goes to the open-faced helmet the Pilot wears.) The AT-ST Pilot minifigures also comes with one blaster pistol. This pilot minifigures has only been included in one Star Wars LEGO set, 7657 AT-ST, which was officially released in the year 2007. It is a part of the Classic Star Wars line and includes one AT-ST Pilot minifig.
AT-ST stands for All Terrain Scout Transport, also (colloquially) known as the “Chicken Walker” due to it’s walking abilities and overall shape. The AT-ST was considered a heavily armed light ground combat vehicle. Notable to this Walker set is the fact that it features a rotating cockpit, (operated by a knob at the rear), movable legs, front guns (also movable) side armaments which rotate and an open hatch at the top of the Walker, leading directly into the cockpit, which is comprised of a seat, and a “holding piece” meant to stash the pilot’s gun. The outside of the walker is either medium (stone grey;) or dark grey . Grey lightsaber parts are used in the movable front guns. No Star Wars collection can truly be complete without the addition of the LEGO AT-ST Pilots or Walkers.
