Spanish Woman Claims Ownership of the Sun

A woman from Galicia, a region in Spain, is claiming the ownership of the Sun. the woman decided to make a statement and she sent it to Spanish newspaper El Mundo. According to her statement, she registered the Sun under her name, and according to the notarized document she is:

“owner of the Sun, a star of spectral type G2, located in the centre of the solar system, located at an average distance from Earth of about 149,600,000 kilometres”.

But this is not all, she also plans to charge us a fee for using the Sun and se has a plan of where the proceedings would go: 50% to the Spanish government, 20% to Spain’s pension fund, 10% for research, 10% to “end World hunger” and a modest 10% to herself.

Well, that would mean she needs the same amount of money as millions of people who live in hunger each day!

Maybe she should be sent to the Sun to take care of her property!

Pay Freeze to Federal Employees

President Obama has announced a two-year pay freeze to civilian federal employees in n effort to take care of high annual deficit and urged Republicans to work together in restoring the economy of the country.

“The hard truth is that getting this deficit under control is going to require some broad sacrifice, and that sacrifice must be shared by employees of the federal government,” Obama told the press “I’m asking civil servants to do what they’ve always done”.

According to the White House, the strategy would save about $5 billion over two years and $28 billion over five years. The plan now requires to be approved by the congress.

There are mixed reactions to this message of pay freeze to federal employees, with some people even saying this is just a gimmick, but as a measure it won’t help much.
