Nintendo is going to be releasing a new game console, called the Wii U, next year.  The new console has some amazing new technology, in the form of a controller which is really a  game pad in its own right – you can play games separately on the pad, or play games with others in a totally unique way.  Many new Wii console buyers are concerned about having bought the Wii console during Nintendo’s price reduction – and now a new console is coming out!  Fortunately, Nintendo has been clear:  today’s best Wii games can be played on the new system.  The older GameCube games cannot be played, however, as they can on the current Wii console.

Since existing Wii games can be played on the new console, it doesn’t hurt to take advantage of great game prices to get current Wii games titles. It often happens that game console buyers get stuck buying a console just before another release comes out. Nintendo is trying to make sure its buyers are not unhappy with their purchase, by making sure titles can be played on the Wii U. Gears of War Release Date

The much awaited Xbox 360 game Gears of War 3 release date has been scheduled for September 20, 2011 in USA and Europe. The information about the launch was first given out in a tweet by Graeme Boyd, Social Marketing Manager, Xbox EMEA at Microsoft. Soon after the tweet came the official announcement of the release date. In Japan, the Gears of War 3 release date is on September 22, 2011, two days after its release in the USA and Europe.

Originally, Gears of War 3 release date was scheduled for April 2011. However, the launch was delayed as Microsoft was targeting a different launch window. The company officials have confirmed that the delay has not been due to any problems related to the quality or the development of the game. The launch rate was pushed to ensure that Gears of War 3 release date is during holiday season. According to Microsoft, Gears of War 3 will be the biggest entertainment launch of 2011. The company has indicated that Epic and Microsoft teams have done commendable work.

Gears of War game series is a third person shooter science fiction video game series based on military tactics. The game has been developed by Epic Games and is published by Microsoft Game Studios. Initially, the game was released only for Xbox 360. However, an year later of the first release of the game in November 2006, a Microsoft Windows version of the game was also released.

The heroes of the game are Delta Squad members who fight to save humans on a fictional planet called Sera. Marcus, Baird, and Dom are the members of this squad and fight Locust Horde, an unrelenting enemy. The player takes on the role of Marcus Fenix who has been a prisoner and is a war soldier. You are tested on your skills of using cover and strategic firing skills. You will advance through levels through the assistance of the second player. Online multiplayer game modes are also available on the game for up to eight players.

Gears of War 3 will take forward the story of Marcus, Baird, Dom and team against Locust invasion. The new additions to the game would be four player campaign co-op, dedicated multiplayer servers and new multiplayer modes. The gamers around the world are waiting for the game release eagerly. The multiplayer servers are specially being looked forward to. The special beast mode of the game in which you can assume the role of Locust has also generated quite an interest among players.
The original Gears of War sold more than three million copies in first 10 weeks of its launch. It was the fastest-selling video game in 2006, the year of its launch. Lego Clone Wars

When Lego started making Star Wars sets back in 1999 they immediately became a worldwide hit. No Lego themes have ever been as popular as the Star Wars theme, I guess because everything Star Wars seems to be collectible. The last Star Wars movie made was The Clone Wars and what a great job the Lego company has done with all their Star Wars sets that are based on this movie. And because of this great quality Lego are selling massive amounts of them to collector.

The sets really quickly became the sets to buy for Lego fans because of the amazing detail and build quality the range offered. If you are a collector I would start looking around now and start buying them because as soon as the star wars sets are discontinued you will have a really hard time finding any to buy. Lego (and Star Wars for that matter) seem to always release sets for a little while and then discontinuing them later even if they are popular, just to keep demand up. I would say that my favourite Clone Wars Lego set would probably be the big Pirate Tank set. What is great about this set for me, well it is pretty unique for a Star Wars sets because the pirates are not of either the Separatists or of the Republic.

As you know most sets have minifigures but this set has some really great and rare minifigures, a couple of them are Hondo Ohnaka and Turk Falso. These rare minifigures are not available in any other Lego set, let alone Star Wars Lego. So my advice would be that if you see one, or any, of these Clone Wars Lego sets you should buy it now while it is a fairly reasonable price before demand forces up the prices too high.

XBox Kinect – Moving to Challenge the Wii
