In order for you to determine if you really need some counselling regarding your fertility, you must have two things with you and these are; your pregnancy history record, your medical background and medical history. Before you seek infertility counselling, you must first know the reasons why some couples are diagnosed of being infertile and also know the reason why they need this type of counselling. Aside from that, you must also think about some details regarding yourself on why you think you should get some counselling.

There are two things that you need to consider before getting some infertility counselling. You must ask yourself this question first;”Were you not able to conceive after one to two years of trying?” What doctors usually say is that only couples who have been trying to conceive for this length of time but have not succeeded are the ones that need some counselling regarding their fertility. Another consideration that you need is to think about is that if you were still unable to get pregnant even after you sought help from an OB/GYN but still failed. If you were not able to conceive after all those time and after seeking and following doctor’s advice, that is the time that you must consider getting help from an infertility counsellor.
