It has happened again! An oil rig I the Gulf of Mexico has exploded, throwing 13 workers after the blast to the sea. Luckily all of them have been rescued and there are reports of only one person injured.

I’ve been reading a little about the story, and well although each person has its own conclusion I think it is interesting to read.

Matthew Simmons, one of the most prominent oil investors in the World, has died last night after suffering a heart attack. He was at home in Maine when the heart attack surprised even, eventually taking his life.
Many of you may recognize Matt Simmons thanks to his recent appearances on TV talking about the BP oil spill and his gloomy predictions for the Gulf of Mexico.

The woman behind the Mark Hurd resignation has come forward. Her name is Jodie Fisher, and besides Fortune 500 companies, she has worked in TV, in crappy movies and reality shows. If you’ve seen “age of Love” you might have seen her.

Around 2000 people have been evacuated from their homes to the Palmdale wildfires. More than 1500 houses are in danger of being devastated, while firefighters from surrounding areas arrive to deliver more help.

California is currently in a state of Emergency after tow wildfires have spread through the region. The Tehachapi fire has already caused the evacuation of 100 people in the area and has destroyed already 40 homes.
The cause of the fire is still unknown while the crew is trying to put out the fire. Gov. Schwarzenegger has said that to this time the fire has not been controlled.
There is a new bill out there being debated at the House Committee on Armed Services that would give the President the power to require 2 years of compulsory service from all US citizens between ages 18 and 42! Many people are referring to it as the slavery bill.

Having been voted into office over a year ago, President Obama made many people hope lots of good things would be forthcoming. Unfortunately, there’s a part of the population that may have voted for him thinking they might get free things. This allowed scammers to become active and they have tried to get people to sign up for things like Obama government grants, stimulus grants, grants for moms, free home loans, and other things which really are not available or are not free.
Folks knew that there was an enormous distinction between Bush and Obama. Democrats all the time say they’re for the poor and downtrodden and this make folks believe that they can get services for free that the Republicans will not give them. This isn’t really the case though, because the rumors you hear from work of mouth and from friends are usually exaggerated and never rarely based in reality.
President Obama has come out to say that he’s for school grants for moms and he encourages women to get their degrees. Nonetheless, this does not mean that there are any new ways for women to get a free education. There are larger Pell grants now but other than that there is not a whole lot that has changed. Tax breaks for education are good but they don’t really pay for the high price of schooling.
Like most politicians before him, Obama talks about training and it’s importance. Has there ever been a president of the United States who did not come out strongly in favor of fixing our schools and getting an education? Sadly though, just speaking about it does nothing to better it and we stillhave a really poor system regardless of all the speeches from the presidents.
People needed more than just hope from Obama and that is why many voted for him. They might be discovering now that he’s very similar to other presidents and the concrete help they had been hoping for just don’t materialize. We could also be getting new health care but it’s hardly free as we’ll all must pay more in taxes and even then, many will remain uninsured.
Today residents of NJ were taken by surprise when an airplane landed on the NJ turnpike! The plane had to do an emergency landing after the two people aboard were working for a radio and TV station, looking at the traffic in the city.
The emergency landing took place in the northbound lanes in Cherry Hill.
No injuries were reported in the landing and well, right now police is looking to get the plane out of the road, and they plan to do this by loading it onto a truck.
Mayor Chris Coleman of San Pablo says that the death of his stepmother, ombudsman previous Deborah Howell and to their family devastates of Washington Post.
The 68 years were stuck and killed by a car whereas vacationing in New Zealand.
Howell was editor for the press of the pioneer of San Pablo and the star of Minneapolis and also served like office manager of Washington for newspapers of Newhouse. It served like the Post’ ombudsman of s as of 2005-2008. In a declaration, Coleman called to his madrastra a pioneering journalist who was fascinated by people and the places by everybody.
